Conjunctions and Exclamations

29 Aug

Hi guys,

I hope you enjoyed reading the material I gave you on my latest post — The Man Who Escaped, Episode 1 — The story is presented in Present Simple (Present Tense). I am sure you all now familiar with the using of Prepositions.

Now I am going to share with you something about Conjuctions and Exclamations. (Excerption from Ruth Colman’s).

Conjuctions: these are words that join ideas.  The ideas may be single words.

Examples:

  • yellow and blue;  or lengthy clauses:
  • I want to get there as early as possible so I’ll take the 6.30 train.

Other common conjuctions are: or/but/because/if

Exclamations: (interjections)

  • Hey!
  • Wow!
  • Ouch!
  • Marvellous!
